According to Ina Bertrand the Trocedero opened in 1914 with George Smith as sole lessee and manager. It became a Hoyts Theatre around 1928 (or perhaps earlier)

According to the Bertrand files the address is 15-25a Hopkins St (corner of Leeds St).
(a reason for the number changes could be because in 1921 street numbers on Hopkins st change).
