Public Building Files:
Submission of application for approval of opening with the name of the building as Loyalty Pictures dated 25/09/1939.
Plan includes seating capacity of 376.
Owner of the bulding as Mr Charles Spalding.

Closed down shortly in 1967/8 and changed hands. Inspection report dated April 1968 states "Mr Weybury is no longer showing at this theatre, in fact theatre has been closed for films for several months." In 1972, reopened as a live theatre, home to The 1812 Theatre Company.

Listed as Local Hall from 1943-1946, then as Loyalty from 1947-1970. Bertrand, I Cinema file: Ferntree Gully (unpublished research).
