Opening date based on Catrice. According to Howson films screened at the MiddlePark Theatre from 1909-1943. By 1943 screenings had diminished to Saturday nights only.From the mid-40's, it was the home of the MIddle Park Repertory Theatre Group, and in the '50s became the Arrow Theatre under the guidance of the late Frank Thring Jr. In 1944 Sydney B Turnbull applied to alter the buildng to become the Melbourne Repertory Theatre. The theatre became known as The Arrow Theatre in 1952.
