Australasian Cinema (5 May 1978, p. 8.) reports "May 4th will see the 'demise' of our last Independent Circuit. Dendy Cinemas at Forest Hill and Twins at Knox City and Croydon, will from that date be under the Village Theatre banner..."

The theatre was later replaced by Village 10 Knoxfield when the shopping centre was refurbished throughout 1989 and 1990.

The Australasian Cinema (4 November 1977, p. 3) reports the Knox Shopping Centre is the first regional shopping centre in Victoria to house a Twin Cinema complex. The larger theatre is reported to seat 382 and the smaller 232.

The Australasian Cinema (8 December 1977, p. 24) reports the successful Trade Day held at the Knox City Shopping complex on Wednesday 23 November 1977.
