The theatre was established in the Manresa Hall as an initiative of the Jesuit Order for the Immaculate Conception Church. It opened on 29 September 1934 with the screening of Cradle Song and Thundering Herd. Listed in the Argus under 'Independent Theatres'. The theatre closed on 2 June 1939 with the screening of One Night of Love and Sunset in Vienna.
