Ran as the Palais picture theatre c1921.

Newspaper article in The Argus reads:
"A brick theatre and dance hall in Playne street, Frankston, has been acquired for £8,000 by the Plaza Theatre Pty. Ltd., which conducts a picture theatre at Morn- ington. The property was offered at public auction on September 2, but it was passed in for private sale. The land has frontage of 93ft. by a depth of 142ft. The theatre has accommodation for 800 per- sons, and there are four lock-up shops, to- gether with plant and furnishings. The Plaza Theatre Pty. Ltd. has installed a "talkie" equipment, and the theatre will be opened on Saturday. The agents for the solo were Messrs. Sydney Arnold, Best, and Co., and Mr. Walter J. Jones."
