Venue Comments

According to Cunningham (Cunningham, p. 48) the Western first started showing talkies on 5 October 1929.

From 1961-9 the venue was used as a storehouse by the New England Loading Equipment Company.
In 1970, the then owner, Edith Moran, leased the theatre to Mr Alesio who restored it back to a cinema and screened Italian language films. (Cunningham, p. 51)
