Initially16mmm films were exhibited on a regular basis in this venue under the auspices of the Lake Illawarra South Progress Association (Parkinson 1995, p. 107) In 1958 the then exhibitor, Mr E J Fraser who also operated the Scarborough Theatre, installed a new screen and projector capable of showing 35mm film (Parkinson 1995, p. 108). The cinema closed in April 1964.
