Venue Comments

"At Kellerberrin, Olympia Pictures operated in the Olympia Hall through the twenties. The hall, on the east side of Sewell St between Hammond and Forrest streets, was owned by S.C.Henwood who also owned the electricity plant. Shortly after the Bijou opened in competition, Henwood sold his interest in the company to A.C.Hart. The new management renovated the Olympia, improving the seating and heating and providing new curtains and a new screen for the re-opening on 14 March 1930." (Bertrnad 2001)
