In the 50's the Savoy turned to foreign language films which built its reputation as a foreign language film theatre. Closing in 1963, the Savoy was demolished and the area became a large carpark with the 'Lido nightclub' in the basement. The Lido opened in 1965 and was a Theatre-Restaurant. The Lido was then tranformed into the Total, screening both 16mm and 35mm. Greek clientele. Closed 31 March 1979.
