Throughout the first two decades of the 20th century a variety of travelling picture shows regularly screened films at the Bega School of Arts Hall. From 1910 to 1913 the building was also used in winter as alternative venue for the open-air Bega Picture Palace.

The building was demolished in the 1960s.
