Venue Comments

The Kings Open-Air Theatre was built for open-air structure exhibition. Local memory suggests that the venue was used mainly in the summer months with winter exhibition taking place in the School of Arts Hall In 1915 the cinema changed ownership and was renamed Chrystal Picture Gardens. The venue appears to have closed by the end of WW1 (Parkinson1995, p.51).
