The Glen originally operated in the Rutherglen Town Hall. The building was rebuit in 1926 as the Memorial Hall, during which time Glen Pictures moved to the Burrows Grain Store on Audley St. It then moved back to the memorial hall in 1927.

Robert Young owned the business, selling it to Charles Gordon in 1929. Gordon sold the business to Allan and Graham Baker in 1964. They ran it until Jan 1967. In April 1967 Mr R Pinn took over the lease, operating untill it finally closed in May 1968.
