The theatre was originally operated by the Wills family and later the Maryborough Theatres Pty Ltd In 2001 Cinema Record reported that whilst the cinema had closed for some months by operated John Medlin, and thus leaving the town without a cinema, it had been re-opened with reduced screenings.
